Slagtog is a queer- and women-led feminist non-profit organisation working in the field of prevention of gender based violence. Slagtog focuses on teaching women and LGBTQIA+ people feminist self defense. Slagtog was founded in 2019 inspired by Belgian based trainer Irene Zeilinger who has been teaching feminist self defense for nearly 30 years through workshops, lectures, writing and training for trainers in the ngo Garance.
Slagtog’s main activity is offering a variety of self defense workshops. The organisation’s aim is to expand and work further, focusing on reaching youth organisations, social centers and schools hoping to empower girls, young women and queer youth.

Meet the Team
In Slagtog we are six trainers, five of us were trained by Garance. We have different backgrounds both in origin and professional experience, and have different interest and specialisations when it comes to feminist self defense. We all share the desire to contribute to the fight to end gender based violence and discrimination.
